The Olomouc Region grant scheme, providing funding since 2016.

Support for tourism in the Pardubice Region - Subprogramme C: AUDIOVISUAL CREATION

The subprogramme "Audiovisual production" is intended to support the production of audiovisual works (hereinafter referred to as AVD) that are wholly or at least partially produced in the Pardubice Region or otherwise connected with the territory of the Pardubice Region or its personalities.

Criteria

• The beneficiary of the subsidy may be a legal entity or an individual entrepreneur whose activities focus on creating and producing AVDs.
• The applicant must be a producer or co-producer of AVD.
• The minimum subsidy amount is CZK 50,000, and the maximum is CZK 2,000,000. 
• The applicant must contribute at least 30% of the total project cost.

Eligible Projects

• Support is available for a feature, animated, or documentary film/series intended for distribution on public platforms.

• 2026 (applications are being accepted from January 1, 2026, to October 31, 2026)

Programme of the Statutory City of Pardubice – Tourism Support Programme – 3. Audiovisual Production

The programme is aimed at supporting audiovisual production and the distribution of works focused primarily on culture, history, sport, and tourism.

Criteria

• Applications are submitted via the Portál občana
• The minimum subsidy amount is CZK 200,000 
• The applicant must contribute at least 25% of the total project cost.

Eligible Projects

• Support is intended for the production of fiction and documentary films or series intended for cinema distribution, television broadcasting, online platforms, or VOD (streaming) services, which are at least partially filmed within the territory of the City of Pardubice.

A grant vehicle of the Capital City of Prague, approved in September 2016.

It published its first call in May 2017. The City of Prague budget funded CZK 10 million per year  in 2016 and 2017, and CZK 30 million in 2018.

Criteria

• the city of Prague must be used to depict Prague
• international cinema distribution, television broadcasting, television rebroadcasting, or a video on demand service (with the exception of student audiovisual projects)
• weight is given to the degree and significance of the portrayal of Prague, the marketing potential when used to promote Prague abroad, the extent of foreign distribution, in the case of student projects presentation at film festivals, etc.

Support for the Audiovisual Industry in the South Moravian Region in 2026

This is a grant program of the South Moravian Region for the year 2026. 

The project must be implemented (if the recipient is a so-called service company) / the production of the audiovisual work must be completed (if the recipient is a producer or co-producer) by December 31, 2028. However, if the audiovisual work is produced as an international co-production with a combined share of co-producers based or operating in the Czech Republic not exceeding 10% of the total production costs of the audiovisual work, production must be completed by December 31, 2029.

The deadline for submitting grant applications is from May 4, 2026, at 8:00 AM to May 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM.

Criteria

• content-related/thematic connection of the project to Brno and the South Moravian Region

• the extent to which local audiovisual professionals and local cultural and creative industries are utilized

• the amount of funds spent in the region

• the project’s promotional and marketing potential for the city of Brno and the South Moravian Region
